New style for Orthodox Jewish women: The Sarah Palin wig

No, this isn't an April fools joke. Georgies of Boro Park - one of the largest manufacturers of wigs in the United States, has been marketing Sarah Palin wigs to Orthodox Jewish women. And they're quite a hit (Hat Tip: NY Nana).
"We've sold about 50 'Sarah P' wigs in the past five weeks," said Schlomo Klein, vice president of Georgie in Borough Park.

For 30 years, his store has catered to married Orthodox Jewish women, who are required to keep their hair covered. Many do so by wearing the wigs, called sheitels. The Sarah look costs $695, and the side-swept up-do comes in 44 different color combinations, the most popular of which so far is Palin's brown.

Palin has caused countless Democrats to pull their hair out, but putting on the beehive-like wig is not necessarily an endorsement of the John McCain ticket, Klein said.

"Fashion trumps politics," he said. "There's no political statement."
Oh, I'd bet there is a political statement there. Unlike other Jews, most Orthodox Jews are voting for McCain - Palin.

Thanks for the hat tip, Carl.

How anyone can vote for Hussein? I still can't figure it out.

I am, of course, voting for McCain and Palin, and keep praying that they will be the 'November Surprise', and win by a large margin. I do not trust the polls.

This is the worst election in my life...the very worst, at a time in our history when we need the best of the best. The Demonrats are a disgrace.

How could the vast majority of American Jewry have ignored the Holocaust, and then blame the Pope and rasha Roosevelt for not speaking out?
The people who ignored Shoah and their grandkids ( many who aren't even Jewish) will vote Osama, but the Jews that have Jewish grandkids( to paraphrase Rabbi Riskin) are the McCain-Palin Jews.

Just in case you didn't get what I meant, riskin gave a talk at my shul once stating that " who is a Jew shouldn't be who has a Jewish mother, but rather who has Jewish grandkids", and this can only apply to the orthos

I wonder why the Michelle Obama wig isn't so popular
