What's at stake for Bibi

Is Bibi a great one? Let's hope and pray that he is. By that definition of greatness, the only one who really springs to mind in the last 20 years is Yitzchak Shamir (Menachem Begin was more than 20 years ago - lest any of you jump me).

More here.

Bibi is a shlemazel, and a dangerous one at that.

You know, he shook Arafat's hand... which made me physically at the time. He gave Hebron to the PA, which not even Peres dared to do and then at Wye he gave up 40% of Yesha. As Shy Guy can testify, he certainly talks a good game but his actions are the opposite. Beware!

It should be added that Dr. Eidelberg is correct. Islam is not going to undergo a Reformation any time soon and what Netanyahu obscures is the fact Islam rejects the very premise that G-d gave Man rights. Missing from the Muslim concept of G-d is G-d as the Father of Man. The clash of civilizations is indeed very real and it does no good to obscure it or to elide over or hide the truth the Judeo-Christian and Islamic worldviews are incompatible. We will not see a reconciliation of the two philosophies as long as they exist upon this earth.
